Supercharge your portrait photography! During this workshop, expect some in-class instruction for a bit about portrait photography, equipment, and settings before we go out with our model and get some fantastic photographs. 

We will walk around with our model at the Rockbrook Camera Omaha location, using natural light to find interesting and complimentary locations that make a difference in boosting your portrait photography. 

If there's one thing that will set you apart from other photographers, it could be this. Come and learn how with this fun, hands-on workshop from the Rockbrook Camera pros that will send you on your way with a new set of fresh shots for your portfolio and newfound confidence in your ability to get great portraits every time.

With the remaining time, we will go back to the classroom to view some of our images and talk about editing portraits and have a question-and-answer session for everyone!

In this hands-on workshop we will focus on two things: 

1 - Growing your confidence working with portrait subjects to take professional, eye-catching portraits.

2 - We will discuss the settings, equipment, composition and more that will improve portrait photography. This is done both in the classroom to start, and then in the field, as we work with a professional model to find locations that make a difference while looking at lighting and more. 

Who Should Take This Class?

Those new to portrait photography are encouraged to sign up for this event because it will offer hands-on instruction from a professional photographer who has shot hundreds of portrait sessions professionally. 

This class is also an opportunity to grow your portfolio for those who might have some portrait experience already.

  • How to pose portraits and work with clients in the field
  • How light can be used to your advantage when working with portrait clients
  • How location can help or hinder your photographs
  • How to best use your camera's settings to get great portraits of people
  • Which lenses are great for multiple types of portrait photography
  • A quick look at editing portraits with Adobe Lightroom

Cancellations

You must cancel this class 2 days prior to the start date for a full refund. Any cancellations within 2 days of the event will not be refunded since that class spot needs to be filled. If the class spot is filled, you will receive a full refund. 

If you do not show up for an event you will not be refunded.

Inclement Weather Policy: 

For most classes, we will conduct the event rain or shine. For dangerous weather conditions, we may cancel the event, and you will be notified of this by phone and email. 

Minimum Enrollment Policy:

Classes have an enrollment threshold. If that enrollment is not met, the class will be canceled and you will receive a full refund. You will be notified by email and phone.
