About this experience

This 2.5-hour intermediate level session is aimed at photographers with DSLR/Mirrorless cameras who have a good understanding of exposure and want to get better at lighting subjects in an indoor setting.


We will cover the following topics in this Studio Lighting Class:



  • Simple light set-ups using one light and reflector

  • Multiple light set-ups

  • Controlling exposure

  • Light diffusion/modifier options & techniques

  • Triggering options 


 


What you need for this class: 


Please make sure to bring your camera with a battery charged and ready to go. This is your opportunity to get hands-on instruction, and we'll be using your camera extensively in the class. Don't forget to make sure that you have space for new photos on your memory card! If you'd like to take notes, bring along note-taking supplies.



Cancellations


You must cancel this class 2 days prior to the start date for a full refund. Any cancellations within 2 days of the event will not be refunded since that class spot needs to be filled. If the class spot is filled, you will receive a full refund. 


If you do not show up for an event you will not be refunded.


Inclement Weather Policy: 


For most classes, we will conduct the event rain or shine. For dangerous weather conditions, we may cancel the event, and you will be notified of this by phone and email. 


Minimum Enrollment Policy:


Classes have an enrollment threshold. If that enrollment is not met, the class will be canceled and you will receive a full refund. You will be notified by email and phone.

Your Host

Alan Holtmeier is a Camera Specialist at Rockbrook Camera and is in his 21st year of providing service and support to area photographers. Alan has photographed professionally as a wedding and portrait photographer and especially enjoys working with artificial lighting. When not working at the store or photographing, Alan enjoys playing golf and playing with his two Corgi's, Winston and Schmidt.
