Despite its fast F2.8 aperture, it achieves a remarkably compact and lightweight design at just 119.2mm (4.7”) and 565g (19.9oz) for Sony E-mount model.

The VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) linear motor provides fast, precise AF to capture natural expressions, and the 0.22m (8.7”) MOD at the wide end is ideal for tabletop shots.
