The MISSION 1 Series is a new line of compact cinematic cameras designed to go beyond traditional action cameras like the GoPro HERO Black line. They feature a larger, cutting-edge 1" sensor, incredible low-light performance, 8K30 and 4K120 Open Gate video capture, and category-leading resolutions and frame rates, battery life and thermal performance for extreme use cases. They are the world’s smallest, lightest and most rugged professional-grade cinematic cameras, made for filmmakers, creators and aspiring enthusiasts, while HERO Black cameras are optimized for action sports and POV capture.

MISSION 1 Series cameras use new high-capacity Enduro 2 batteries, which provide longer runtimes, improved thermal performance, and faster charging.

You can use HERO13 Black Enduro batteries as backups, but they won't provide the extended run-times and won't support fast charging. Enduro 2 batteries are also backward compatible with select HERO Black models.
Thanks to the GP3 processor, advanced hardware optimization, and the higher-capacity Enduro 2 battery with fast-charging, you’ll get the longest continuous runtimes and most dependable thermal performance of any GoPro ever.

Up to 5 hours at 1080p/30 (Endurance Mode)
3+ hours at 4K/30
Up to 1.5 hours at 8K/30

• What type of SD card is required for the MISSION 1 Series cameras?
  MISSION 1 Series cameras require a microSD card with an A2 (Application Performance Class 2) rating, which maintain smooth recording, faster load times, and reliable overall performance. A1 rated cards are not supported.
   
• Can I use my subscriber discount to purchase a MISSION 1 Series camera?

• Does the MISSION 1 Series require a housing for underwater use?
  No, the MISSION 1 PRO and MISSION 1 are waterproof up to 66ft (20m) depth without the need of a housing. The MISSION 1 PRO ILS, however, is not waterproof—only weatherproof—due to its interchangeable lens system.
