Sensor Cleaning FAQ

Why is this only available at the Omaha location?

Our sensor cleaning expert, Tim, is flying in from Georgia just for the Omaha Tent Sale! He’s a wizard when it comes to cleaning, but since he’s only here for three days—and only in Omaha—we’re keeping this special exclusive to that location.

How often should I get my camera sensor cleaned?

We recommend a professional sensor cleaning at least once a year. Dust, pollen, and other tiny debris can sneak inside over time—especially if you switch lenses often. A clean sensor means clearer images and less time editing out annoying spots.

How do I know if my sensor needs cleaning?

If you see the same specks or smudges in the same spot on your photos—especially on bright or plain backgrounds—your sensor probably needs attention. Try shooting at f/16 against a white wall or sky to test for dust.

Do I have to wait while my camera is being cleaned?

Due to the number of cleanings we’re expecting, most cameras will need to be dropped off and picked up later. If you’re one of the lucky few who gets here early, there’s a chance Tim can get it done while you shop—but no guarantees! He’ll give you an estimated pickup time when you drop off your gear.

Will you clean lenses too?

While this special is focused on sensor cleanings, you can drop off up to two lenses with your camera for Tim to spruce up!
