The RICOH GR IV HDF features the RICOH-original Highlight Diffusion Filter (HDF), designed to deliver mellow, diffused expression with a single-action control.

With the exceptional image quality, flawless point-and-shoot operation, and outstanding portability that the GR series is known for, the RICOH GR IV HDF allows the user to instantly engage the built-in HDF with a single action. This special-effect filter diffuses highlight areas and creates a blurred effect along the image’s edges.

This creative versatility expands the visual boundaries of snapshot photography, giving the user the option to shoot high resolution, high contrast images for accuracy and precision; or softer, more expressive images to create a sense of depth and emotion, depending on their subject or creative intention.

• Built-in HDF (Highlight Diffusion Filter)
  The built-in HDF (Highlight Diffusion Filter) diffuses highlights for softer light, creating more expressive images with a sense of depth and emotion.
  
  It is designed to diffuse highlight areas and create a blurred effect along the image’s edges, making it possible to capture somewhat nostalgic images resembling those captured in film photography or vintage movies.
   
• Select HDF with a press of a button
  The HDF ON/OFF function can be quickly changed with a press of the Fn button on the back of the camera. “HDF” is printed near the Fn button.

• Silver Shutter Release Button
  The grayish silver shutter-release button of RICOH GR IV HDF subtly differentiates it from the standard RICOH GR IV model. The appearance changes depending on the angle of light.
   
• Equipped with an electronic shutter capable of high-speed shutter operation
  To enable high-speed shutter operation, the camera incorporates an electronic shutter (available only at high speeds).
